Information for Faculty
Information Literacy Instruction Classes
Information Literacy Instruction (ILI) classes afford students, faculty and staff the opportunity of locating information electronically and in print, remotely (24/7), and within the Libraries at MCNY.
These classes are offered all semester long at all the MCNY locations, with a majority of classes held at the beginning of each semester. While ILI classes offer general skills training, they emphasis topic driven lessons. The professor should provide the ILI staff with sufficient notice so that a particular theme can be prepared for the class.
ILI is available for any Purpose in the three schools at MCNY. We encourage all students and faculty to participate in introductory and more advanced levels of research.
Professors should request specific dates and times, giving at least one week's notice. The ILI staff will schedule the class(es) and will confirm the date and time. Professors are required to be present during classes and must be on time. Classes may be up to an hour long.
Please call or email to register: Lou Acierno 1-212-343-1234 ext 2015
Faculty are also encouraged to update their own research skills. Find out what's new at the Library! Arrange a session with us soon!
