Academic Support Specialist
Metropolitan College of New York seeks a qualified individual to assist the Director in developing and strengthening systems to track and document student needs. The Specialist will play an important role in collecting, analyzing, and compiling student data that will help determine resource allocation and program fund development. Other primary responsibilities include drafting statistical and narrative reports; coordinating the logistics and providing oversight of collaboration and interface between the College and the Office of Academic Support; preparing various forms of communications for staff, faculty and students; coordinating special activities to enhance the departmentís efforts; participating in relevant committees; and providing general administrative support to the Director.

Requirements: Minimum requirements include Bachelorís degree in a related field (Masterís preferred); clerical and administrative experience; higher education assessment and research experience; familiarity with educational technology and information systems (PowerCampus a plus); MS Excel, Access and Internet proficient; excellent communication skills and quantitative and qualitative analytic abilities; ability to manage multiple projects in a highly organized, detail-oriented manner; experience in a multi-cultural environment; ability to work autonomously and within diverse teams. Math and Statistics Specialist (part time), Learning Enhancement Center
MCNY seeks a part-time Math Specialist to work directly with students in an individual or small group setting (face to face and/or online). The Specialist will assist, support and guide students to a better understanding of mathematical and statistical concepts; develop and implement math and statistics-oriented workshops; and work with faculty to design supplemental instructional materials to help students achieve their academic and learning goals. In addition, this position requires the ability to work with a diverse student population within a multicultural setting, actively engage students in the subject matter using a student-centered approach, and contribute to Learning Center team initiatives and program development.

Requirements: Minimum requirements include a Masterís degree in a related field with strong proficiency in math and statistics and prior teaching or tutoring experience. Reference Librarian
MCNY seeks a Reference Librarian to provide reference and technical services for students, faculty and staff. The Librarian will assist with research and computing tasks for faculty and staff; participate in collection development; evaluate electronic resources and specialized collections; teach information literacy instruction; create web-based informational tutorials; create management reports; supervise Library Assistants.
