Meet the Staff of Career Services

Robin Youmans, Career Services Coordinator
 ext. 2319

Ms. Youmans came to MCNY after serving as a Career Coordinator for the Borough of Manhattan Community College (CUNY). In that position, she administered on-line career assessment instruments using DISCOVER, Career Zone, Self Directed Search, critiqued student’s resumes, presented job search and interviewing workshops, coordinated daily on-line employer job postings and served as liaison for campus-wide career related collaborations. She earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology from John Jay College of Criminal Justice. Ms. Youmans also works with at-risk high school youth facilitating job readiness workshops.

Paul Chernick, Interim Director

Paul joins MCNY with a strong background in managing workforce development programs and organizations providing career counseling and job preparation services to adults and youth. His professional experience includes fundraising, proposal writing, working with employers and networking among graduates of job training and placement programs. Recently he helped to start a new company that offers on line workforce management tools for colleges, not for profits and government agencies. He received a bachelor’s degree in Sociology from Rutgers University.
